Celebrity Slammer

John Lennon sang about love, yet abandoned his oldest son. James Brown was arrested for wife beating. Yet, we still put these guys on a pedestal. Help me understand!

People need paragons to see as examples – unfortunately we are exposed to movie stars and singers more than we are to people who actually do some good. So we cut them slack more than we would an average person because people so desperately want them to be better than the average.
It’s a self defeating system and to me is flawed. Just because someone looks good on film or sings is not indication of their worth as a role model. And actors are LESS of a role model as they are paid to play make-believe! They can act as needed – that is their job! So f they need to play the part of a concerned supporter of some charity, they can. But when the cameras are off is when they should be noted.
“Watch how the people you go to lunch with treat the waitress. IF they can’t be bothered ot show the serving staff common courtesy or talk about them behind their backs, how can you trust them in business?”

No one cares about their personal problems.Just what they can do for the individual psychi—of the people that like em.You probably still like OJ Simpson cause he could run like a rabbitttt…”"WHO CARES” if he sliced up a female “CRACKER” and her stud..

Our society is warped. People know who is on Big Brother, but don’t know the names of their kids’ teachers or friends.
That is just wrong. Celebrities may be talented performers, but that does not make them any more intelligent than anyone else, and their opinions do not matter more than anyone Else’s.
I wish everyone would get their priorities straight. It’s like with the Dixie Chicks – I like their music but I could not care less about their politics and I don’t want to hear that. Either sing good songs or stay quiet.
As for celebrities saying or doing things that are stupid or illegal, I think they should suffer exactly the same consequences as a normal person.

I like music, the person behind it is none of my business.
When a friend of mine gets molested, then its different.

Because society is our pharoah, and we need to get away from it, and follow God.

Because we enjoy their talent and their personal lives are not really any of our business, we make it our business and put them under the spot light for examination. I’m sure if any of us were watched 24-7 many bad things would be found and I would hope that people would see the good things in me and also appreciate what I do offer to this world. John Lennon for example. His song Imagine… is there another song out there today that comes even close to being as loving as that song is.Or making people stop and think of their own responsibilities toward making the world a more gentle and caring place to live.
