Personally I think she got off lightly.
These celebrities (or children of the rich and famous) think that the law does not apply to them and it really p***es me off.
They are often put upon as so called “roll models” and as such should serve the toughest possible sentence as it would probably act more of a deterrent to everyone else.
It should not matter who you are or what Country you live or are from, the law is the law and it should apply to everyone (But so often never does to these spoilt rich people).

I think she got off too light.
She should have been thrown in jail as soon as she was caught driving under suspension the first time.

She should get no more or any less than anyone else with the same crime. She obviously has been programmed to believe she is above the law. Very typical of our culture..those with money and influence have a slightly different standard. You either like or hate Paris Hilton. What will be the final straw will be when she kills someone when she is driving around drunk or speeding or without headlights. And then who will take the blame for that? She has gotten off very lightly at even 45 days given the prior infractions and total indifference she showed. I don’t think public figures necessarily are required to be role models but if she had two brain cells she could be a positive influence on so many young girls. Instead, even 5 and 6 year olds want to emulate her and carry a Paris purse with a little stuffed dog..she really is a sad comment on our society. But isn’t it up to us as consumers to put a stop to it? No more media attention if no one buys the tabloids, no marketing purses and perfumes if no one buys the products…just a thought

yeah she got what she deserved. she broke her parole. twice. she should go to jail. she’s not even famous for doing anything except drinking. might bring her down a peg or two.

she got off light. shes a repeat offender. shes gotten off for the same thing a couple times. one video they got on youtube where they straight let her go scot free. now she has to pay.
i heard she may get a reduced sentence (less than 45 days).

She’s a convicted drink driver who drove without a licence or insurance. It should have been a longer sentence.

I hope not it not fair that she get the best room with views, while the other in tiny room share max of 2 or 3 people in one cell? No way for her to have special! She need to learn just like the other people who are in long term in jail much more than she has to serve time in jail.So I agree that she is trying getting off lighting but it is pissed me off too.

Celebrities are no more important than the rest of us. They are rich, proud people who like to pretend they can do whatever they like, and that the law doesn’t apply to them. Paris Hilton broke the law, she should be punished accordingly. So she’s famous, who cares?

She should serve the full 45 days! Can’t beleive they might let her off with 3 weeks! What if she had hit someone? If us “normo’s” did that we’d be banged up no questions asked.
