Is there enough of to much leniency?Is humiliation enough? How do their attorneys argue they don’t deserve the sentence (besides money)?

Most likely the lawyer asks the judge for leniency because if his/her client was released into the general population in the jail,the “celebrity” would be in danger because someone might try to harm or kill him/her.
I still say they should have placed Paris Hilton in with the others and jailed her parents for getting the sheriff to release her without the judge knowing. I’d also make sure the sheriff lost his badge and pension too.
