are so revered and worshipped by fans, both in and out of the judicial system? I know nothing in life is fair, but this seems so far from being fair to the average citizen that is ludicrous…i mean, how many chances do you think you would get if you were repeatedly arrested for drug, and or, illegal weapons possesion???
Personally I think she got off lightly.
These celebrities (or children of the rich and famous) think that the law does not apply to them and it really p***es me off.
They are often put upon as so called “roll models” and as such should serve the toughest possible sentence as it would probably act more of a deterrent to everyone else.
It should not matter who you are or what Country you live or are from, the law is the law and it should apply to everyone (But so often never does to these spoilt rich people).
Paris Hilton is to be tagged with an alarm to protect her from fellow prison inmates.
The hotel heiress will be provided with a panic device giving her a 24-hour link to prison guards in case she encounters trouble when she begins her prison sentence next month, according to Britain’s The Sun newspaper.
Hilton must report to Century Regional Detention Centre in Los Angeles by June 5 after she was found guilty of driving with a suspended licence.
As well as being tagged with an alarm ‘The Simple Life’ star will be kept in the prison’s ‘special needs’ unit, which is reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates.
The 26-year-old has made it known she is “really scared” by the prospect of going to jail.
Her sentence has already been cut from 45 to 23 days for “good behaviour,” despite the fact that she has yet to begin serving it.
Hilton’s mother Kathy called her daughter’s imprisonment “horrendous.”
Whats you Opinion!
CNN.com reported that he’ll be making sausages in the prison kitchen for the first 6 months, then he’ll be assigned to laundry shoot duty.
Is this fair?
Or do you think that fancy celebrities like he and Paris Hilton should get special treatment when they are in prison?

I hope that it doesn’t. I mean, I know it’s wrong to drink and drive, but so many non-black celebrities have gotten away with murder-literally-and made comebacks.
Should we not just judge him as an actor? His behavior though not condonible seems to be related to the drinking, that may be related to personal unresolved issues and wrapped up in guilt? The pressures have to be enormous,I have seen that pattern way too often to mistake . I am completely against what he said about the Jewish people, in his heart he knows this is not love. He carries conflicts from childhood to haunt him as he hits middle age. Who knows this predicament maybe what he needs to see if he will sink if swim. I think he’ll swim, he is a smart man he just needs to ask for forgiveness, forgive himself and get on with it. We can help by not going for the throat when people are down.
Love is the only thing strong enough to win against addiction and remorse. Love you Mel Gibson

Why is there not a psuedo-celebrity catergory????
LOS ANGELES (May 16) – Paris Hilton will serve about half of her 45-day jail sentence and will be separated from the general inmate population, authorities said Wednesday
The hotel heiress will spend about 23 days in a “special needs housing unit” at the Century Regional Detention Center in suburban Lynwood, Los Angeles County sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said.
Her sentence was shortened after jail officials gave her credit for good behavior, Whitmore said. Officials considered several factors in calculating the credit, including that she appeared for her latest court date, he said.
Hilton will stay in a unit that contains 12 two-person cells reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates, he said.
Like everyone else in the 2,200-inmate facility, Hilton will get at least an hour outside her cell each day to shower, watch television, participate in outdoor recreation or talk on the telephone, he said.
He actually predicted it in an interview, so I wonder how much of a publicity stunt it was.
Celebrities seem to be attention whores anymore and will do whatever.
Waffle House could take this a good or bad. I would be interested to know what the CEO’s is thinking this morning.
