This gives a whole new meaning to “partners in crime.”
Months ahead of her arrest, “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Jen Shah said that her assistant and co-defendant, Stuart Smith, would “literally do anything” for her.
While discussing why she has eight assistants on Michelle Collins’ SiriusXM show in January, Shah said, “Some assistants I won’t ask to do certain things, you know? One of them is just, she’s just strictly virtual. So of course I’m not asking her to do… But like Stuart is all in for like crazy stuff.”
The “RHOSLC” star also justified her need for the hefty amount of help saying she’s got three marketing companies, a fashion company and a beauty company.
“These people are also doing business things too, but because they’re like helping me with like admin assistant type stuff, that’s why they’re like assistants,” she attempted to explain.
The interview resurfaced on Wednesday, one day after Shah and Stewart’s were arrested for allegedly ripping off hundreds of victims in a telemarketing scam. They’ve been charged with one count each of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
Meanwhile, Shah also gushed to Page Six earlier this year about her involvement in a “new entrepreneur program for women.”
“We’re helping women pivot and shift their business through the quarantine and COVID,” she said, adding that we’d “see some of that coming out and hearing their stories and seeing how we help their businesses grow.”
Shah and Smith were set to be arraigned on Wednesday, but so many Bravo fans flooded the Zoom call line that Shah herself couldn’t attend.
The proceeding is now taking place on Friday.
